A mash up of styles. Modern and classic. Chat Noir with Shadow of the Colossus.
From Mad Max: Fury Road
This scene spoke to me when I saw it on the big screen and the idea of capturing it in paint stayed with me until it was done.
Classic scene from Super Mario 2
My very first painting since I started mid 2015, I wanted something abstract for my new studio and wanted to experiment.
This piece started out completley different, but sometimes that just the way art goes.
Forest fire being doused with water.. that's what I see.
My apologies to those with O.C.D
A secret area in Super Mario 2, many won't remember this as you had to know how to get there, and make it this far in the game!
Who is going to make the first move?
All the colors in the "quicker picker upper" piece appear in this piece as well.
Don't be wasteful folks!
My first commission piece from the game Bloodborne for Ps4.
Anyone who has played Super Mario 2 should also recognize this sub-level right away. The first taste of the world behind the secret door.
Soon to be available in print.
Another in the shapes and color series.
Another piece inspired by the Mad Max: Fury Road movie.
A new type of surface to paint on, this was a board composite not canvas. Also played with the Gesso for texture, and water in the acrylic.
Was thinking of this concept, started painting it, then I heard Neil deGrasse Tyson talk about Panspermia on Real Time and bingo, title and piece came together.
A fun little scene from Super Mario World. Mario is doing his best to land on Yoshi and keep the momentum going.
Maybe a rock star doing a guitar solo? or a disgruntaled funeral goer?
